WHAT WE TEST
14 Systems. Complete Picture.
Gut Health Copilot
Overall microbiome health score with a personalised dietary action plan.
Gut Functional Markers
Biochemical markers of intestinal integrity, immune activity, and digestion.
Short Chain Fatty Acids
The gut's primary energy currency and immune signalling molecules.
Microbial Diversity
Ecological richness of your gut ecosystem — a key predictor of long-term health.
Chronic Disease Risk
Microbial patterns associated with elevated disease risk.
Metabolic Functions
Genetic potential of your microbiome to produce key metabolites.
Bacterial Pathogens
Complete screen for pathogenic bacteria using whole-genome sequencing.
Fungi & Yeast
Comprehensive fungal mapping beyond standard Candida testing.
H. pylori & Resistance
Full H. pylori virulence factor profiling with antibiotic resistance genes.
Parasites & Worms
Sensitive PCR-based detection of intestinal parasites and helminths.
Viral Pathogens
Detection of enteric viruses implicated in chronic gut disruption.
Beneficial Flora
Quantification of 40+ keystone protective species.
Opportunistic Pathogens
Species that are harmless in balance but damaging in overgrowth.
Biochemical & Detox Pathways
Microbial contributions to systemic biochemistry.
WHY IT MATTERS
The markers your GP doesn't order.
6
Critical markers missed by standard panels
Faecalibacterium prausnitzii
The single most important anti-inflammatory species in the gut. Deficiency is consistently observed in IBD, depression, obesity, and metabolic syndrome.
Akkermansia muciniphila
Protects the gut lining and improves insulin sensitivity. Low levels are associated with obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and neurological conditions.
Calprotectin
The gold-standard biomarker for intestinal inflammation — elevated in IBD, infection, and barrier disruption. A standard colonoscopy does not measure this.
Butyrate producers
Butyrate is the primary fuel source for the cells lining your colon. Low butyrate production drives inflammation, leaky gut, and colon cancer risk.
Zonulin
Elevated zonulin is the direct marker of intestinal permeability (leaky gut) — allowing bacterial endotoxins (LPS) to enter systemic circulation.
H. pylori virulence (CagA)
H. pylori strains carrying the CagA gene cause significantly greater mucosal damage and carry 3–5x higher gastric cancer risk. Standard breath tests do not differentiate strains.
WHO THIS IS FOR

Diagnosed or suspected IBS, IBD, Crohn's, or ulcerative colitis
Fatigue, brain fog, or low mood — especially after meals
Skin conditions: eczema, psoriasis, acne, or rosacea
Food intolerances or sensitivities that have developed over time
Autoimmune conditions or chronic systemic inflammation
History of antibiotic use or significant gut disruption

FAQ
Common Questions
Yes — the stool collection is entirely at home using the sterile kit provided. No clinic visit, no fasting, no uncomfortable procedures.
Stop antibiotics and anti-fungal drugs 2 weeks before testing. Stop probiotics and prebiotics 3 days before. Stop aspirin, ibuprofen, digestive enzymes, minerals, and amino acid supplements 3 days before.
Standard PCR tests look for a pre-selected list of 30–50 organisms. Shotgun metagenomics sequences all DNA in the sample — identifying over 28,000 species including rare, unculturable, and previously unknown microbes. PCR will tell you if you have Giardia. Metagenomics tells you everything that's living in your gut and what those organisms are doing biochemically.
Your kit includes a pre-paid express return envelope. Collect your sample in the morning and post the same day — Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday only. Do not collect on a Thursday or Friday as samples will not reach the lab in time.
Results are returned to your practitioner within 5–10 business days of the lab receiving your samples. We will send your written results summary as soon as they arrive. If you added a 1:1 consultation at checkout, we will contact you to book your session.
